The best time to visit Kashmir is from Kolkata, during March to June, the weather will be mild and pleasant with the temperature ranging from 13 to 28 degree celsius, and you can explore major places of Kashmir.

Kolkata to Kashmir Durga Puja Trip

If you are planning a trip to Kashmir during Durga Puja time, which is in October month, the weather will be cool, but not too cold yet, and the temperature will range from 9 to 20 degree celsius, there will be slightly chill in the air as winter will start from the end of November.

Kolkata to Kashmir by flight

The easiest way to travel Kashmir is by flight, there are several airlines that operate from Kolkata to Srinagar Kashmir, such as Air India, Indigo, Spicejet and Vistara. The flight time is around 5 hours 30 minutes, with one stopover in Delhi. It’s better to book your flight ticket early so you can get the cheapest airfare starting from ₹8000. During peak seasons (March to June)  the starting price will range from ₹14400 to ₹27400.

Kolkata to Kashmir by train time and table 

If you are planning to travel by train from Kolkata to Kashmir the major train which operates 7 days a week from Chitpur station Belgachia Kolkata 13151 KOAA JAT EXPRESS Dep: 11.45 AM. The train takes around 1 day 21 hours to arrive at Jammu Tawi railway station Arr 8.50 AM  that is the nearest railway station to reach Srinagar, from there you can travel by taxi or bus towards Srinagar, the distance is around 245 KM and 6 hours 15 minutes of journey.

After exploring the temple continue your journey to Pahalgam through the breathtaking views of Kashmir valley. Once you reach Pahalgam, check-in at your pre-booked hotel, have a delicious buffet lunch, then take a short break before starting your sightseeing in Pahalgam.  

Welcome to the Pahalgam valley. Here you need to stay at least for 2 nights, as one day is not enough to explore Pahalgam, the town is a starting point of the Amarnath Yatra.
